My Career

My serious career with data started in 2004 when I started to work as a Senior IT Specialist in Estonian Emergency Centre ( Häirekeskus in est). It boosted my knowledge in data and databases especially in Oracle products. I continued working in different companies such as Telia, Kühne and Nagel,Solita, Veho extending my expertise from relational databases and on-premise data solutions to analytical solutions and cloud bases solutions.

I still love SQL and find quite a powerful language if you use to its full potential. I know PL/SQL and Oracle Apex application and in general my way around Oracle databases. I speak Python and constantly continuing to learn new tricks. I work with Azure on daily basis using Synapse, PySpark and PowerBI as reporting tool.

At some point worked with Snowflake and was and I am a fan of Data Vault modeling approach.

I know my way around AWS as I was creating some AWS based data solutions though mostly working with Microsoft tools and solutions at this moment.

On my free time I look for interesting free datasets to try new things, tricks and ideas. I import and clean the data, transform it and create PowerBI reports.
